Sanford Nidich, Ph.D.
Dr. Sanford Nidich is Professor of Physiology and Health, Professor of Education, and Director of the Center for Social-Emotional Health at Maharishi University of Management Research Institute (MUMRI) in Fairfield, Iowa U.S.A.
Dr. Nidich has been a principal investigator or co-principal investigator on numerous research projects funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health and private foundations in the areas of mental health, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, totaling over $20 million in federal and private grant funding.
He is currently completing a multi-million dollar grant sponsored by the Department of Defense on the effects of Transcendental Meditation on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), conducted at the Veterans Administration in San Diego, California.
